HUNTING
The hunting, fishing and trapping rights are only applicable
for the Clauparo’s customers on the territory of 117 Km2.
Of course, hunting is one of the principal tourist attraction
in the Monts-Valin. Located in a real small game hunting paradise,
Clauparo Outfitter invites you for a stay you’ll never
forget! And all the choices! You’ll find in our territory
several interesting species as the black bear, the ruffed grouse
and the hare. And what about our trapping lines: Weasel, Beaver,
Squirrel, Wolf, Otter, Lynx, Marten, Skunk, Raccoon, Fox, Mink,
etc.
For your information, we have especially created for our ‘’International’’
visitors Technical Files describing the principal animal species
you can find in our territory.
· Firearms (Obligation to wear the safety vest). Crossbow and
bow no obligation.

Note :
Black bear hunting has not been done for a long time. In 2005-2008,
we were just watching them.
In 2009 and 2010, 100% of success.

MOOSE
Notes:
· The moose hunting was prohibited from 1995 to 2005 on all
the 117 km2. In 2008, the moose hunting was a success.
In 2010, rate of success = 100%
Moose (Alces alces)
In Canada, the biggest terrestrial mammalian is the moose.
It can weigh 600 kg! This extraordinary game is hunted for its
flesh and the trophies. The moose hunting is done in the fall
during the mating season. The regulation in effect at Clauparo’s
can be different from the hunting zone 28.
- The hunting and fishing rights are only applicable for the
Clauparo’s customers.
- 117 km2 divided in 3 zones (1 zone per group of 2 to 5 hunters).
Because our territory is divided in 3 zones allows us to do
a better management of the small games populations and moreover,
another important advantage, ensure a better security to our
hunters.
Maximum 5 hunters/zone.
1. ZONE - LAC LÉONCE ZONE-LAKE LEONCE: Leonce Cabins, basin
of the Aux Sables river
2. ZONE - LAC ARCHER ZONE-LAKE ARCHER: Archer Cabins,
south-west of the outfitter

- LAC PÉRIGNY ZONE LAKE PERIGNY: Perigny Cabins, basin of the
Tagi river
EUROPEAN PLAN (EP)
· Group of 2 to 4 hunters. For one moose hunting, 6-day package.

· ARRIVAL TIME : not before 12h00 (noon)
· DEPARTURE TIME : not after 9h00 A.M. (5 days ½ of hunting)
· COST : US$2600 by hunter by package
The package includes :
· Accommodation in cabins (6 nights),
· All you need to prepare and serve meals,
· Topographic maps,
· Instructions and daily visits from the hunting manager,
· Boat, engine and gas (if necessary),
· At least one (1) hide per group of hunters (in each zone).
AMERICAN PLAN (AP)
· Group of 2 to 4 hunters. For one moose hunting, 6-day package.

1st except if with neck snare.
· Wolf: From half of October to end of March.

· Grouse: Ruffed Grouse, Spruce Grouse, Sharp-Tailed
grouse: From half of September to half of January. Obligation
to wear the safety vest before December 1st.
· Northern Leopard Frog, Green Frog and Bullfrog:
Tools : Walk-in trap, barrier, dart, dip net, trap, hook, with
hands, from half of July to half of November.
COST : US $100 per hunter/day (EP) minimum 2 people.

Trapping
UGAF Regulation: north of the outfitter (zone 50), south of
the outfitter (zone 53).
